Get Involved
• Join Preserving Savannah Neighborhoods.
• Contact your city alderman or county commissioner and ask them to support efforts to preserve ALL Savannah neighborhoods.
• Read up on Context Sensitive Design principles in transportation planning.
• Be aware of road projects and zoning issues in your area.
Why should you participate?
• Elected officials need our support to make democratic decisions for the future.
• People living elsewhere should not be allowed to make decision about our neighborhoods.
• Wider roads create barriers, separating one neighborhood from another. Demand walkable streets.
• Help us manage transportation needs before they manage us.
Contact your representatives
Transportation policies are often forged at the state and national level. Get in touch with your elected officials and urge them to protect neighborhoods against invasive road projects and ask them to support sustainable transportation solutions.
